Notes of the meeting of Information Commissioners held on 27.12.2005
CIC chaired the meeting and all Information Commissioners were present. Following decisions were taken or suggestions made in the meeting:-
1. It was decided to reallocate work among Commissioners as per Annexure.
2. It was decided to appoint Consultants to devise internal procedure i.e. how to deal with complaints/appeals, setting up monitoring system, etc. It was suggested that we may find out from National Judicial Academy, Bhopal whether they can take up the work.
3. DOPT may be asked to frame rules and procedures to comply with the provisions of the RTI Act by Bodies/NGOs substantially financed by Government.
4. It was felt that at some later date, a meeting with State Information Commissions may be organized to consider matters which may have common jurisdiction and other procedural matters.
